Grandparents Rights
In recent years, many states have passed laws allowing grandparents to have certain rights to visit their grandchildren.
When one’s child undergoes a divorce or a parent becomes deceased and the former spouse has custody, the grandparents may be excluded from the grandchild’s life. This is also true if the custodial parent moved out of state. Arizona does allow a grandparent to petition the Arizona court to obtain visitation rights with the grandchild.
